This Privacy Policy explains how Sippey LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Pageturn," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Pageturn website at pageturn.app, our mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
This Policy applies to visitors and registered users of the Service. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or products that we do not control, even if they are linked from the Service (see Section 11).
The Service is intended for users 13 years of age and older. See Section 12 for our children's-privacy practices.
We collect the following categories of personal information:
When you create an account, we collect the information you provide, which currently includes your email address, and a username or display name. You may also choose to add optional profile information, such as a profile photo or bio.
Social sign-in (planned). In the future, we may offer the ability to sign in using third-party providers such as Google, Apple, or Facebook. If you use one of those options, we would receive basic profile information from that provider (typically your name, email address, and, where applicable, profile photo), according to that provider's permissions and your settings. We would not receive your password for those services.
We collect the content you submit to the Service, including books you post, comments and reviews you write, ratings, lists, and books you save privately. (See Section 6 for what is public versus private.)
When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, which may include: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring/exit pages, pages and content viewed, features used, actions taken, and the dates/times of your activity. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
We may receive information about you from service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting and infrastructure providers and analytics providers (see Section 9). If we enable social sign-in in the future, we would also receive basic profile information from the provider you choose (see Section 3.1).
We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, precise geolocation, health, or financial account information), and we ask that you not submit such information through the Service.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

Submit a request by emailing support@pageturn.app. We will verify your identity before responding, typically by confirming information associated with your account. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with proper authorization. We aim to respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 45 days, extendable).
California's "Shine the Light" law permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. The Service may link to third-party sites and services (for example, booksellers). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before providing information.
Pageturn is operated in the United States, and your information will be processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. By using the Service, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting the updated Policy with a new "Last updated" date, or by notifying you through the Service or email). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
